Moody

I have been agitated lately, not sure why. For example, in the gym, I can’t help but only notice the noise from a guy’s elliptical machine. On a bus, I am unable to block off two Cantonese women’s talking into my ears, which I don’t understand. At work, I keep hearing co-worker’s foot steps. In a theater, I pay attention to scratching sound when the fat guy behind me reaching his giant popcorn bag.

All these supposedly background white noise somehow gets amplified and drives me crazy. I know my hearing is super good, but if my mind is at peace, I normally should be able to filter out these noises.

But not today! Not yesterday. Not the day before yesterday. It’s not even my period, who said guys don’t have period?

My rice cooker has been sent back to the warranty department for about a week now. I miss it. I have been cooking some food without rice, but with flour.

And there is little good stuff in the news either. I was horrified when I watched this video when two MUNI cars crashed into each other on Sunday.

It’s totally surreal like in movie. Sadly, it’s the reality.

Then I learned that a mom shot her 16 years old son before she killed herself. This sort of stories makes me sick.

One of my banks reduces the interest rate for my saving account.

I must, stop, reading news.

I am sure by this weekend, things will be back to normal again, especially after I take some pictures on Sunday’s Up Your Alley Fair.

Actually not everything is so gloomy the last few days. On Sunday, I had a good time at the AIDS Walk. However, I was disappointed that this year API Wellness Center didn’t even have a team table at the event. I ended up leaving the Golden Gate Park early and went to the Dolores Park for a concert by San Francisco Symphony.

It was hot and sunny, so I took quite a few pictures.

In other news, I almost finish customizing Emacs 22.3. I am excited to start to unleash the power of this new version. I know, it has been out for a while, but I have been lazy and don’t want to mess with my old Emacs setup.

Time for a change to the better, for Emacs, and for myself.
