Boys Gone Wild after Hiking in Marin Headlands

The day after Christmas is also the second day of my winter holiday (which will end on January 4). I didn’t do a damn thing during the whole day, except going to gym and shopping some wine. It has been too many activities during the last few days. I am already exhausted. Plus, this morning I had a little bit hung over from last night’s party.

When I woke up in the morning on Christmas day, I opened the curtain, I saw black sky outside. It was not the night sky, but the thick black cloud.

I closed the curtain, went back to sleep. When I open the curtain couple hours later, I got a big surprise! Not only my window was washed quite clean by the heavy rain, the sky couldn’t be any bluer!

The mountains were calling me to be with them. I headed out right the way even it was quite windy.

There are very few people on the trails. I was surrounded by the sound of ocean and wind while breathing in the fresh air. It’s purifying and meditating.

After I reached the top of Hill 88, I felt I could reach the sky. However, that’s also where the wind was the strongest. I felt the wind could almost sweet my feet off the ground in any minute, then I would be really flying.

Of course, I didn’t fly away. After hiking for couple hours, I walked back to the beach waiting for the bus. That’s when I saw black clouds starting to roll in from the sea. I felt so lucky that the sky was super clear when I was on top of the mountain.

Well, those clouds were only local. Once the bus reached the bridge, everything looked so glamorous and spectacular.

I cannot think of any better way to start my winter break.

Well, that wasn’t the end of a beautiful day. I went to a Christmas party at Gong Li’s place. He reserved the theater at his condo and totally turned the place into a filming set for producing a home video "Boys Gone Wild." I didn’t make a video though, but took plenty pictures.

The games were so funny that I laughed as hard as everyone else did. One game is to pass the orange when everyone sit in a circle while the music is playing. When the music stops, whoever has the orange must pick one person and lick his nipple.

I just can’t believe that I became a victim not only once, but twice. Both Jason and Dodge were able to manage to have the orange in their hands when the music stopped. Since they are boyfriends, so they can’t be the victim of each other. Therefore, I became the easy prey.

After a long day hiking and a long night partying, I didn’t feel like doing anything besides going to the gym and taking it easy. And of course, smell the flowers, thanks to Gehairer, Derrence, Cola, and Charlie.

I quit writing the "end-of-year" letter a few years ago, because I have got too much on my plate. Although this is indeed a good time to reflect this past year, but I am more looking forward to the New Year. Plus, I have written things like that now and then. So I will save the time for something else, like finishing captioning the photos I took in Japan, and a few more film reviews that I have been putting off.

I am having a great time and I hope it will continue to the many years to come.

Happy New Year!
