We have been warned since last week that San Francisco would have a very cold, wet, nasty week starting from last Saturday.
I got myself all prepared mentally. However, when I woke up and opened my curtain on Saturday morning, what a surprise! It just reminds me why I love the city. Is this what a rainy cold windy day is supposed to be like— So, the first thing I did was to take a picture to stop the moment. The weather has been pretty nice except we got a little bit heavy rain last night. It’s perfect for me because I needed to finish seven films this weekend, besides a screening of a cute anime "The Tale of Despereaux" on Saturday morning. Cold and wet weather will keep me indoors instead of the mountains. The cold weather also helps us to get into the holiday mood. The celebration continues when we had a holiday lunch today at E&O Trading Company. Even we were ordering from a lunch menu, the tab added up quickly (almost $70/person). I had a great time and the best smoked black cod! http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf After I got back to the office, the clouds in the sky was so pretty due to the sunshine behind it. Of course, I took few more pictures. Why do I keep talking about the weather? That’s because my heater in the apartment has been blowing hot air non-stop for a long time by now. It’s indeed cold outside. That’s how my cozy place becomes even more precious. Finally, I got a big laugh when I saw how the president was ducking the shoes! I agree that Muntadhar al Zaidi (منتظر الزيدي), who threw the shoes, should be punished for missing his target. It reminds me how some old ladies of my neighbors fought when I was a little kid, and they could actually hit each other with their shoes. |
