Asians Still Don’t Wear Underwear

It’s hard to believe that there is a "heat wave" warning for the Bay area this weekend.

Heat wave?! Well, for other perhaps. In San Francisco, it will be pleasant 75 degrees, and it’s perfect for tomorrow’s protest against Proposition 8. I will be there.

The dry and mild weather lately might be related to what I saw yesterday. When I woke up in the morning and looked out the window, I was pleasantly surprised.

I saw a bright full moon hanging above the bridge.

Either I hardly get up early, or it must be the global warming. For years, I had never seen a moon from my apartment window before, because the window faces north. Now I know—I can actually see the moon from my apartment, but I just need to get up early.

Other than that moment of quietness, I continue to be in a hectic stage, which is why I still have not got a chance to sit down and figure out what TV I should buy. Even I didn’t get any stimulus check, I plan to do my civic duty by buying a new TV. I think I have made up my mind and will get a Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV. Now I just need to make sure that they don’t deliver it when I will be at UC Riverside next week.

Two years ago, I blogged about the lack of Asian models at fashion shows, which probably has got the most hits since I began to blog. Well, two years later, nothing has changed.

Yesterday, at Macy’s and Men’s Health’s "Fit Form and Function" event, it was the same thing—no Asian on the stage. I guess Asian still don’t wear underwear so the industry doesn’t bother to use any Asian model to appeal the Asian demographics.

However, I still had a good time, a few glasses of champagne, and bites of hors d’oeuvres.

Of course, I didn’t buy any underwear.
