Now Halloween Is Over, Vote No on Prop. 8

Although today was so wet, last night was surprisingly dry and mild. It was a little hot actually. But the streets were not as busy as they are used to be. The city successfully crashes the Halloween party in Castro.

But nothing can stop me from having fun. After hanging out in Castro for a while, Yowei and I went to a house party. It was a fun night.

The pouring rain during the day altered my original plan. Even I have so much stuff to catch on at home, I was planning to check out de Young Museum today. But after working out in the gym and a haircut, I decided to go to an election volunteer training for NO on Prop. 8. de Young seems so far away from downtown now, when it’s raining so hard. I need to volunteer more to defeat Proposition 8 anyway.

The headquarter looks like a chaotic war zone. Everybody was talking and nobody could here anything. However, I can feel the energy and spirit that we are all in this fight to the end. And, we are gonna win. Proposition 8 MUST be defeated.

Actually, I have been doing some grass root campaigning. Today when the lady cuts my hair, I didn’t stop talking. I asked her to tell her whole family to vote NO on proposition 8.

On a bus, an old black guy (looks like a homeless person actually) saw the big sign "Vote No on Prop. 8" that I was carrying. He was intrigued by it and asked me what Proposition 8 is. I told him that it’s designed to take away people’s fundamental right and encourage him to vote NO. He said, "Okay, I will vote for Obama, and then NO on this 8."

Oh boy, I think this is the first time I ever chatted with a (possible) homeless person on a bus before.

I put on a big sign on my window today, to match up my neighbor’s sign that has been up for a while. Hey, I was out of town! Tomorrow, I will hold a big "VOTE NO ON PROP. 8" sign at a rally in Chinatown.

I still have not finished my absentee ballot. It’s freaking LONG! However, I will make sure that I finish them before Tuesday and turned them in!

Now, I need some sleep.
