I am done packing!
It has been so hectic lately (more than a week without blogging!) that I didn’t even start to pack my four weeks long trip till this evening. After a few hours, my life is packed into two suit cases, and one backpack. If I don’t get enough stuff for my trip, I will go shopping in China and Japan. If I save money, it will only go down the drain anyway. Within a week, two of my banks were bought by others. I had to juggle around to straighten them out to make sure that those banks won’t take my money and die when I am on vacation overseas. I don’t worry much about the one-day record fall on the stock market, although my 401k sits in it. It will come back eventually. It’s something that I have no control over, then why should I spend my energy to worry sick? They are paper money to begin with anyway. What I do have control over is to write to the senators and house representatives to voice my objection to the absurd bailout plan. I am surprised that this time it’s the Republicans on my side and killed the bailout bill. That’s how things go topsy-turvy recently. Instead of worrying the stock market, I just enjoy the fog which is absolutely amazing during this season. A few days ago, I took a picture in my office and I forgot the light setting from the night before. It turns out very blue and I like it actually. During the weekend, the gorgeous weather continued. I took a picture from the apartment on Saturday and the beautiful fog began to push everything else away. Yes, live the moment. On Sunday, I doubt how many people were worrying about the economy when they were having fun at the Folsom Street Fair. I didn’t stay there long because I have seen most of them; nothing is shocking to me any more. I had a good time at Ted and Emery’s party, although I didn’t stay there long either. However, I did take a few pictures. Once again, the fog was rolling in behind me when I was on the roof. Obviously, neither the stock market nor the Folsom Street Fair can give me a heart attack. However, if I ever pay a visit to "Heart Attack Grill" in Arizona, I might not come home alive! http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf Looking at those "Double Bypass Burgers," I must flee to Asian. Few hours later, I am outta here. |
