Even though I went to bed last night around 1AM, I got up at 5AM to watch the live feed of the Closing Ceremony at the Beijing Olympics. It was 8PM in Beijing, and 1PM in London. Since I am flying to London today, I thought it’s somewhat helpful to start to live in another time zone early, although I know that I will be really tired.
The Closing Ceremony is not as long and spectacular as the Opening Ceremony, but it’s still quite splendid. (Click on the picture to start a slide show for the closing ceremony.) It’s very operatic. I wish there were less singing though, even it’s Rain singing in Chinese. This picture slide show will include pictures from both the opening ceremony and the closing ceremony. I am really glad that China won a total of 100 medals, including 51 gold medals leading the list. I am so proud of Chinese athletes. I am also very happy for the extraordinary success of the Beijing Olympics. A superb job well done! Now, I am heading to the airport to catch my flight. I might watch "Kung Fu Panda" during the flight. I am sure it will be better than "Death Race," even in an airplane.
