I have been indulging myself with Beijing Olympics, even I am not a sports fan. I can thoroughly enjoy diving or gymnastic. However, I simply don’t have the patience to watch a bunch people play balls in a field, or worse, watching people shooting guns. How come shooting a gun becomes a sport?
The Olympic Games sometimes are exciting and emotional. I admire many athletes for their dedication, their sacrifice, their talent, and their courage to strive for the best. They are inspiring. Sometimes, the match can be brutal and funny. I giggled when I saw this picture showing a wrestling match between Kyoko Hamaguchi from Japan (on top) and Ali Bernard from the USA. I am not sure if the technique shown in the picture helped Hamaguchi to win her Bronze medal. This is perhaps one of the reasons I never liked wrestling since I was a little kid. I am looking forward to man’s 10m platform diving. Tonight, I took a break from watching the Olympics. I went to the Calvin Klein store opening event at the Westfield Mall. They are so cheap. Instead of having a host bar, they brought out the drinks (infrequently) by the servers. And, there are only two kinds of drinks, so it’s also pretty boring. I left quickly after glasses of champagne. http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf Besides watching Olympics, I did go to a few films, although not many.
